Amongst the hazels and oaks of the Booth family orchard (Australian Truffle Traders), follow the truffle dogs as they hunt for the ripest truffles. Get hands on digging them up and experience the thrilling aroma of freshly dug truffle. Discover the art and science of how truffles are grown, the incredible skill of the dogs that find them and the remarkable story of how Manjimup truffles took the world by storm. Buy fresh black truffles and truffle products
Hound & Hunter sells fresh truffles during the season (June to August) and we can send them Australia-wide. Truffles are farm-direct from our collective of family truffle growers.
Our product range is continually growing and includes truffle and non-truffle products, charcuterie and ferments. Everything we make is rooted in quality, time and community.
Stay for lunch or coffee
Your hunt includes a delicious truffle tasting at Hound & Hunter Fine Foods.
We also offer a delicious lunch menu featuring fresh truffle in season, coffee, freshly baked breads and sweets as well as freshly made gelato using local fruit. Take-away available.

Clothing / Weather / Accessibility
Truffle hunts are an all weather event and take place on a farm. Please wear enclosed footwear and dress for the farm.
The hunt takes place in a truffle orchard and is not accessible by wheelchair, pram or stroller due to natural terrain.

Tickets booked prior to June 2023 through the Australian Truffle Traders website are still valid. They now include the truffle tasting as a complimentary inclusion.

Cancellations requests must be received by email no later than one full week before your hunt to receive a full refund.

Who are Australian Truffle Traders?
We're thrilled to partner with the Booth family at Australian Truffle Traders, widely respected as one of Australia's most experienced truffle growing families and a founding partner of the WA Truffle Collective. Their life in truffles has taken them all over the world and into some of the world's best kitchens.
Gavin, Mel, son Brin and their team of truffle hunters and truffle dogs are known for offering one of Australia's best truffle hunting experiences. They've been featured in National Geographic, Delicious, Sunrise, The Australian, ABC, West Australian, Country Style, Women’s Weekly and more.
Family friendly? Of course!
As a family centred business we're proud to welcome families and kids onto our hunts with special pricing for family tickets, teenagers and kids under 10 free.
The truffle tasting is not child specific but depending on your child's taste they may enjoy! Failing that, we make fresh gelato using local fruit and plenty of child friendly flavours!
Do you always find truffle?
You won't miss out! During truffle season (June-August) we're guaranteed to find truffles.
Will we get to pat the truffle dogs?
Of course! The truffle dogs are the star of the show when it comes to our truffle hunts. They're also much loved family pets, so when the hunting is done they'd love a cuddle or selfie!
The truffle dogs are off-lead during the truffle hunt but please rest assured they are very friendly animals!
Can I try digging up truffle myself?
Of course! Our truffle hunts are a hands on and immersive experience. We encourage all our guests to have a go.
Can I bring my dog?
No dog/s or any kind of animal may be brought to the orchard by truffle hunt guest due to potential biosecurity risks.
